Saturday, 18 September 2027 — Cultural programme
A guided programme on the history of libraries, manuscripts and book culture in Istanbul. Preliminary itinerary:
- Departure by coach from Rami Library
- Süleymaniye Manuscript Library and the Süleymaniye complex
- Beyazıt State Library and the Sahaflar (second-hand book) market
- Lunch (own expense)
- Sultanahmet: Hagia Sophia and the Topkapı Palace Library area (guided walk)
- Bosphorus boat tour; return to the historic peninsula
The cultural programme is open to registered full-conference participants. Transport and guide are provided by the organisers; lunch and entrance fees are at participants' own expense. Places are limited and are allocated in order of registration. Conditions will be confirmed when registration opens.
